Official transcripts from all colleges attended must be on file at Atlanta Technical College before the office of the Registrar can process this request.  Insufficient documentation or missing transcripts will delay the evaluation of the request.

The Office of the Registrar reserves the right to accept or reject credits earned at other institutions of higher education.  Additionally, Atlanta Technical College reserves the right to test the proficiency of students for coursework to be transferred.

In instances where course equivalency is questionable, the Registrar will communicate and consult with the program advisors/chairperson to reach an informed decision.  However, the Registrar makes all final decisions regarding awarding transfer of credit, based on state standards, college or university accreditation status, and/or course learning outcomes.

In general, it is the policy of Atlanta Technical College and the office of the Registrar to accept credits earned at institutions fully accredited by their regional accrediting association for colleges and universities, provided that such credits have been earned with at least a grade of C or higher at the collegiate-level courses appropriate to the student’s program.
