



Job Corps Scholars Program at Atlanta Technical College
Job Corps Scholars (JCS) is a government-funded, no-cost educational training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young adults from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds between the ages of 16-24 to improve their quality of life through academic and career preparation. The program’s primary goal is to assist participants in earning in-demand, industry-recognized credentials in one year or less and to obtain competitive employment opportunities leading to economic mobility.
The program provides intensive individualized academic advising and coaching services to facilitate each student’s persistence to graduation, employment, and career success. Supportive services available to participants include financial assistance to cover tuition, fees, and all required course materials, personal and employment counseling, and additional wrap-around resources as needed. Participants also can earn merit-based stipends and bonuses.

Eligibility Requirements
• Legal US resident: lawfully admitted permanent resident alien, refugee, asylee, or parolee, or other immigrants who the U.S. attorney general has authorized to work in the United States; or resident of a U.S. territory
• Lives in Atlanta, Fulton, or Clayton Counties
• Meets income and other eligibility requirements
